Welcome This site was created in an effort to catalog all of the R&B, soul, and funk recordings made on 45 RPM records in the state of Ohio after 1964. The main section is an alphabetical listing of all Ohio-based labels that issued soul music. The supplementary section contains 45 RPM records made by Ohio artists that appear on non-Ohio or national record labels. Ohio labels that were largely soul operations, but issued records in a variety of genres, are included in their entirety where known. The small record icon next to the label name can be clicked to view a scan of that particular label and its alternate designs where applicable. Obviously this list is by no means complete, and any information about specific records, Ohio R&B musicians, or any other Buckeye State music trivia is always welcome. |
